Street photography provides candid snapshots that speak to some aspect of our human condition. It is perhaps the most difficult of all the photographic genres. A successful image requires a keen eye and a great deal of good fortune. The best street photographs offer partial stories: they are pages from unread books, hinting at a larger narrative. These images serve as prompts, activating the viewer's own life experiences. There is a powerful lesson in all of photography, but especially in street photography. Life is a series of unrepeatable moments. To capture one is to preserve a moment of existence that we will never return to again.
