KM-250 Stinger

This page contains information on the KM-250 Stinger, a fixed blade knife by Master Kiku Matsuda.

Specifications: Four inch arrow head, multi-ground double edged blade with finger hole and thumb notches on the tang. Hand contoured black/green layered G-10 handle. OU-31 blade is 5.0mm thick. 100mm blade and 205mm overall length. 270g weight.

Pros: A stunning knife design with beautiful acid etching, superb balance and grip, and a high quality kydex sheath.
Cons: The screws on the handle are a bit boring, and too recessed for my tastes.

Final Score: 8/10

Video Overview

Size

The Stinger is very comfortable to hold and points naturally. With the full sized grip and finger hole, it feels like an extension of the hand. The deep grooves on top keep the thumb firmly planted.

Sheath

The sheath is high quality kydex, custom made for the knife. While leather may have been more appropriate (stingray skin, perhaps?) for such a beautiful knife, kydex is a sensible choice for a double edged combat knife.

Handle

The green G-10 scales really set this knife apart. Deep cuts in the material give it a hand crafted look while providing ample grip. It supremely comfortable to hold, and the beautiful G-10 pattern compliments the acid etched blade nicely.

Balance

Surprisingly light, and perfectly balanced. No issues here.
