Calphalon redesigned their family of appliances in 2018 with a unified aesthetic and improved performance across the range. Their latest oven, the Quartz Heat Countertop Toaster Oven, is designed with an innovative quartz heating element that delivers 40% more heat for even cooking and crispy consistency. It preheats in seconds, saving time and reducing range oven usage. The built-in presets feature all major cooking methods, including a dehydrator mode. The Quartz Heat Countertop is large enough to fit a 12" pizza, and precise enough to roast a whole chicken.

Role: As part of the design team working on the entire product range, my primary contribution was to the Calphalon Quartz Heat Countertop Oven. Under the direction of Ishmael Adams, I sketched, 3D modeled, and rendered multiple versions of this oven, providing direction on the interface layout, handle design, edge treatment, and rack configuration.
